North Country Dental fundraiser beats previous year despite hard times in community. 3rd Annual Craft Fair donations for American Cancer Society up by one-third over last year.

Gorham – North Country Dental successfully hosted its 3rd Annual Craft Fair to benefit Relay for Life, the American Cancer Society’s signature activity in the fight against cancer. The craft fair was held November 21st at the Ed Fenn Elementary School in Gorham, New Hampshire and was open to the public.

Dozens of enthusiastic area shoppers attended the fair, crowding around table after table of goods presented by local crafters and retailers. A vendor registration fee of $20.00 plus proceeds from a drawing of goods donated by each vendor benefitted the American Cancer Society. All other proceeds from the sale went to the respective vendors. It was a win-win situation.

The gym and hall were full of very talented artisans. “I would like to thank them for sharing their talents, donating to the raffle and supporting our fundraiser,” said a grateful Allison White, Office Manager of North Country Dental. “A heartfelt ‘thank you’ to John Sankiw, Fran Wolf, Lisa Picard, Sally Renaud, Dennis and Lynn Rossignol, Deidra Rodgers, Albert Lavoie, Lucinda Bragg, Peg Corrigan, Regina Saucier and the Storyland Team, Jill and Edward Knox, Roland Gosselin, Al Duncan, Joyce Scott, Carol Robichaud, Zelda Gonyer, Lise and Steve Barrette, Linda Samson, Michelle Belmonte, Lisa Labnon, Joy and Sarah Schoenbeck, Gerry Shimaura, Marion Hannan, Marie Riendeau, Andy and Priscilla Bergeron, June Hart, Louise Staples, and Amy Paulin.”

Despite tough economic times, the final amount raised increased by a third over last year. “The Team at North Country Dental would like to thank the public for coming out to support the vendors and donate to the American Cancer Society and our local Relay for Life,” said Allison White, office manager of NCD. “We raised $1600.00 for the June event. Some very generous people helped make the fair a success and we would like to thank them publicly: Karen Cloutier, Principal of Ed Fenn Elementary School for donation of the school gym; Holy Family Parish for donation of tables for the crafters; Steve and Kristine Roy for transportation; Berlin Daily Sun for advertisement; Billy Devoid and Helen Jolin for all their help before, during and after the event at the school. Thank you, everyone, and we look forward to 2010!”

North Country Dental (NCD) actively sponsors many community benefits and charitable events. But their Relay for Life Event, held in June each year, is their signature charity. They have been honored by the American Cancer Society for their dedication and donations to Relay for Life. Relay for Life is a world-wide event.
